SREC Incentive with TPO products

Third Party Owned Products (TPO) are common in finance arrangements for solar in Illinois, they include Leases and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)

When a customer signs up for a TPO product the finance company retains the SREC incentive and takes it into consideration with the price it offers the customer for their monthly rate or price per kWh

The customer will not receive a payment from the Shines program when buying solar through a TPO product
