Guidelines For Marketing Materials:

• Approved Vendors and their associates must accurately represent solar power, RECs(renewable energy credits) , and the Illinois Shines program.
• Disclosure of intent to sell RECs through Illinois Shines or the ABP (adjustable block program)is mandatory.
• Statements implying guaranteed savings or direct representation of Illinois Shines or a utility employee are prohibited.
• Permissible statements include describing Illinois Shines as a state program incentivizing solar PV (photovoltaic) systems.
• All claims must be truthful and substantiated.
• Illinois Shines serves as the consumer-facing brand of the ABP, ensuring adherence to ABP marketing guidelines.
