Compliance

1 - The Orientation

Below you will find the company's policies on Compliance and Code of Conduct

Rules: As a 1099 you are self-employed, there are still rules that need to be followed in order to continue your employment at Aveyo

Forgery: Forgery of any kind will not be tolerated when signing documents for

customers and will result in immediate termination.

Time-off: Since you are an independent contractor, requesting time off isn’t a

requirement. However, it is important for you to let your leaders know ahead of time so that they can report accurate sales forecasts.

Weekly meetings and training will be strongly recommended. If you’re unable to attend, inform your leaders.

Integrity: Everything you do as a rep for this company reflects on all of us.

Never sacrifice your integrity for a sale. Do everything in your power everyday

to better yourselves as individuals. Doing good work when it comes to designs,

offsetting electricity, and being completely transparent with numbers is of utter

importance. Dishonesty of any kind will result in a warning, followed by

immediate termination on the second offense.

The Aveyo representative is a member of the Direct Sales team and reports directly to their manager and leaders. Listed below are some of the policies and procedures that pertain to the position.

Although you will not be required to punch a time clock, it is recommended you track and monitor your interactions and hours on daily basis. When hired, you are given an ideal schedule to work each week from your Manager.

CODE OF CONDUCT

Periodically, Aveyo receives complaints of alleged inappropriate sales tactics by sales representatives. The overwhelming majority of sales representatives conduct themselves appropriately, however, to avoid any confusion; Aveyo has established a Code of Conduct to make it clear to each sales representative what is expected from them while they sell for Aveyo and its partners.

The Company requires that each representative strictly adhere to Aveyo’s Code of Conduct. Ignorance is not a defense, and each sales representative must familiarize themselves with the Code of Conduct.

Compliance Team.

The Company’s compliance team continually works to identify Code of Conduct violations. While the timing of such detection may be uncertain, it is certain that most, if not all, Code of Conduct violations will eventually be discovered. It is our hope that each Representative will conduct themselves with integrity and honesty; the following policies have been established to inform each sales representative what is expected of them.

Disciplinary Action.

Failure to comply with Company policy and the below-referenced directives will result in disciplinary action, which shall include fines, sale(s) taken out of the representative’s name (including a chargeback or loss of commission), loss of bonuses (including holdback payments), suspension and/or termination of the Agreement with Aveyo, and responsibility for any and all costs associated therewith.

Contract

●      Do not misquote the customer on pricing, equipment, etc. The customer must completely understand the financial commitment that they are agreeing to. If a customer was misquoted or not properly explained pricing and Aveyo financial compensates the customer to resolve the customer’s complaint, Affiliate will be charged the amount Aveyo paid to resolve the customer complaint.

There will be no incentive to misquote or fail to properly explain pricing if Affiliate and its sales representatives understand that it/he/she will be liable for any financial compensation given by Aveyo to the complaining customer.

●      Do not promise the customer energy savings that aren’t true.

●      Do not alter consumer electric consumption on proposals to decrease actual consumer usage.

Criminal/Fraud

●      Do not sign any document, or allow another to sign any document, on behalf of any person. This applies regardless of whether the person gives you or another permission.

●      In cases of “Power of Attorney,” the person with the power of attorney should sign their name on the contract (not the other person’s). The person with the power of attorney should write “Power of Attorney” by their signature. For the contract to be valid, a copy of the Power of Attorney must be provided to the sales representative, and the sales representative shall submit the power of attorney with the contract.

Credit Check / Person on the Contract

●      Do not “run” a credit check unless the person is a perspective customer and has given you his/her clear and expressed permission (from that individual directly).

●      The only person allowed on the contract is a legal adult.

●      Be aware of the capacity of each potential customer to enter into a contract voluntarily and knowingly (i.e., the elderly, disabilities, those taking medications, etc.)

Misrepresentation (General)

●      Do not state or imply that you are with, affiliated with, working with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the utility company or any other official or governmental agency.

●      Do not tell a customer that the solar system will allow the customer to “go off the grid.” Let the customer know that it is their responsibility to cancel their contracts.

●      Do not promise that a customer will be eligible for a tax credit. You may inform the customer that he/she may qualify for a tax credit, but he/she should consult with a tax professional.

●      Do not state that the system is “free.”

Professionalism / General Conduct

●      Always interact with the customer on a professional basis.

●      Do not drink alcoholic drinks with the customer during any sales presentations.

●      Always wear your name badge that was given to you by the Company during sales presentations, and when self-generating customers.

●      Unverifiable complaints from customers may result in a code of conduct violation if the complaints are recurring.

Criminal

●      Do not steal anything, including personal information from anyone.

●      Do not assault, injure, threaten, or intimidate anyone.

●      Do not at any time or for any reason vandalize customer, public, or private property (not owned by you).

●      Obey all applicable local laws, including trespassing, drug laws, noise ordinances, and knocking restrictions.

●      Do not represent Aveyo while inebriated or impaired by any legal or illegal substances.
